In the wake of a suicide explosion, nine people have died in Marka, a coastal town in Lower Shebelle, Somalia.
The explosion that occurred outside the district headquarters may have resulted in a number of casualties, according to reports.
Abdullahi Wafow, the district commissioner, and some of his security guards were killed in an attack.
The town of Marka is located 90 kilometres (56 miles) south of Mogadishu.
