The Azimio-One Kenya coalition’s running mate Martha Karua has urged Kenyans to vote for leaders with a track record of success.
Karua emphasized the importance of leaders being able to articulate Kenyans’ concerns during a popularization tour of Meru County on Thursday.
“Kenyans’ concerns should be addressed quickly because the money is close to them within the County Government led by the governor and the ward where the MCA is located.”
She urged those seeking elective positions to put their personal interests aside and not compete solely for the perks on offer.
She specifically urged Kenyans to carefully select their Governors and County Assembly Members because they will be dealing with them directly.
“A governor must be able to sit down and allocate money to the various words and if the funds are not enough, should be able to source for more from the Governor’s summit or even from outside sources,” she stated.
Raila Odinga, the Azimio Presidential Candidate, is expected to begin a whirlwind tour of the Mt Kenya region on Friday.
