Former Belgium manager Roberto Martinez is set to become the new manager of Portugal.
The Spaniard has been in talks to replace Fernando Santos, who stepped down as manager following Portugal’s World Cup quarter-final loss to Morocco.
Martinez also left Belgium after the team’s group-stage elimination in Qatar.
The former Everton and Wigan manager was appointed in 2016 and had his contract terminated following the World Cup.
Belgium, which finished third in 2018, entered the tournament as Fifa’s second-ranked team in the world.
