Gospel Artiste Mary Lincoln ‘Repents’ After Naughty Photos Go Viral

Mary Lincoln, a popular Central Region gospel singer, repented and asked for prayers on Monday after her naughty photos and video surfaced online and went viral.

She was accompanied by several musicians, including Karangu wa Muraya, who has been trending online after being accused of taking someone’s wife, also a celebrity, on a vacation in Dubai.

Ms Lincoln’s viral photos are said to have caused havoc in her polygamous relationship with a local vernacular radio station celebrity.

The suitor is said to have funded her extravagant lifestyle and to have threatened to repossess his gifts.

Ms Lincoln was a hairdresser in Nairobi’s Gikomba market prior to her fame and fortune, and her music career was struggling.

The nude photos were shared by blogger Martha Mwihaki Hinga, who is well-known for publicizing celebrity scandals and has a large following.

After the photos went viral, critics questioned why she allowed such images to be taken in this day and age, despite the risk of them leaking online. She has, however, stated that she has changed her ways.

“Yes, we went to the Christian Foundation Fellowship (CFF) Church for repentance and forgiveness prayer. Our God is merciful and offers those who repent a second chance to resume service to him,” Ms. Lincoln said.

The viral footage is “now neither here nor there, what is important is that I am now full of renewed energy to continue ministering and spreading love of our merciful and forgiving God,” she added.

Following the prayers, the gospel singer took to social media to express her gratitude to God for his love, as well as to Bishop Michael Wanderi and Rev David Mwangi for their prayers. She also expressed gratitude to “all my fellow artists and all my friends who have been praying with me.”

Later, photos of her crying and kneeling down while the clerics prayed for her were circulated on the internet.

According to Mr Muraya, the prayer session was a spiritual re-energizing drive.

“Jehovah you are God of a second chance and you forgive and forget without dwelling on our past…from the bottom of our hearts we are grateful for giving our sister Mary Lincoln and giving us a second chance to serve you…Thank you Bishop Wanderi for your prayers,” he said.
