Outgoing Interior CS Fred Matiang’i has deactivated his Twitter account after President William Ruto’s Inauguration.
Matiangi deactivated the account on Tuesday when Kenyatta handed over power to William Ruto who won the August 9 election.
A search for his handle, @FredMatiangi, revealed that the account had been deactivated.
“This account doesn’t exist,” read search results.
The deletion came just days after Dr. Matiangi wrote an emotional farewell letter thanking staff and Kenyans for giving him the opportunity to serve the country.
In the letter, he also cleared his ministry of charges that he was out to manipulate the outcome of the August 9 elections.
