The Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government Dr. Fred Matiang’i, accompanied by the Inspector General, National Police Service Mr. Hilary Mutyambai and senior police officers yesterday made a tour to the National Police Service Referral Hospital project to assess its progress.

The hospital, which is located next to Kenyatta National Hospital in Mbagathi, was commissioned by H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta during a ground breaking ceremony on 29th November, 2021.

When completed, the hospital will provide quality, timely and specialized treatment to police officers and their dependents.

The C.S praised the progress of the project noting that it is within the timeframe.

Over decades, The Kenya Police are always in a tough situation in the medical field due to their poor amenities. Perhaps, Fred Matiang’i has endeavored to change the history and progress in the unit.

Without a doubt, the Kenya Police Department is growing and advancing in all necessary fields. Perhaps the medical field is the focus of attention, and it is a significant achievement in the service.
