Mavoko Police Station Opened

The Deputy Inspector General Kenya Police Service Mr. Edward Mbugua earlier today joined senior officers drawn from Machakos County led by the County Police Commander Mr. Issa Mohamud in the opening of Mavoko SNP Police Station in Athi River East Sub-County, Machakos County.

Also present at the event were National Government Administration Officers (NGAO).

Mavoko SNP Police Station follows the opening of Tutua Police Station in Meru County last week by Inspector General NPS Mr Hilary Mutyambai.

The station is well equipped, offering conducive working environment to police officers.

It also brings services closer to the people within Athi River East Sub-County.

The DIG later addressed officers at the station on a wide range of issues including the state of security in the country, integrity, discipline among other issues.

He notably touched on Election preparedness urging the officers to play their roles effectively and take advantage of the ongoing election sensitization programmes and workshops in the County.
