Prince Charles and princess Diana have had so much ups and downs. But before that, prince Charles once proposed to another lady.
Amanda Knatchbull, who was in a fling with with Prince Charles, said she wasn’t interested in him the same way he was with her.
This is according to a documentary called The Royal House of Windsor in which it alleged that the Lord Mountbatten tried hooking up the prince with his granddaughter Amanda.
Amanda was a perfect candidate for Charles, for years Mountbatten was secretly lining up Amanda to be a future queen as explained in the series.
Love was somehow working out for the two since we have the show showing how Charles took Amanda on the royal yachtBritannia for a trip to Eleuthera in the Caribbean.
Charles then turned to Amanda and asked her will you be my wife and she said no this was back in 1977 as narrated by the narrator.
In 1981 he got married to lady Diana and got divorced in 1996, he later went on to marry Camilla the duchess of Cornwall in2005.
Meanwhile Amanda got married to an author called Charles Vincent Ellingworth in 1987 and both have three kids together.
Today she is called Lady Ellingworth and has some major contributions to British social work.
