Migori County police are looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
According to Migori police commander Mark Wanjala, a 65-year-old man was killed in the incident at Komire in Awendo Sub County.
“The deceased was crossing the road when he was hit by the speeding vehicle. He died on the spot,” Wanjala added.
The driver of the ill-fated vehicle then fled the scene. The suspect, who was driving the black vehicle, was urged by police to surrender.
“We are appealing to members of the public to visit the nearest police station if they have any information that will help in the investigations,” police said.
