Police in Migori County have arrested a 27-year-old male teacher accused of sodomising a 14-year-old boy in Suna Rabuor Location, Suna East sub-county.
According to Area Chief Philip Kisiagro, the boy was discovered at the teacher’s home by his father, who was looking for him after he went missing from home.
After his father questioned why he was limping, the student admitted that the teacher had sodomised him ten times.
According to Kisiagro, the hospital’s medical report established that the boy was injured as a result of the incident.
The area chief stated that the teacher has been claiming that the boy has been assisting him in weeding his farm, but their investigation has revealed that he has been using this as a cover-up so that the boy’s parents and the general public do not suspect him.
Mr Kisiagro stated that the teacher was arrested in school and taken to the Migori police station for further investigation and arraignment.
He added that such behaviour cannot be tolerated and urged parents to be cautious of rogue teachers.
