A man accused of impersonating former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Facebook and defraud unsuspecting members of the public is expected to be charged afresh today before Milimani Law Courts.
This is after the prosecution agreed to his application on the plea bargain.
John Kengere is accused of creating a Facebook account using the name Mike Mbuvi Sonko Rescue Loans without the authority of the former governor.
He is said to have committed the offence on September 15, 2023, at an unknown place within the Republic of Kenya.
