The 34 years old house-help based at Mwiki, Kasarani, Nairobi County was convicted and sentenced 8 years imprisonment without the option of a fine for sexually abusing a 13 years old boy.
The convicted house help and also a mother of five, was handed the sentence by Milimani Law courts Senior Principal Magistrate Esther Kimilu.
In her Judgement, the learned magistrate noted that the minor has now become addicted to the pleasure life which was prematurely inflicted in his young life.
The prosecution had earlier on told the court that besides the maid offering herself to the boy, whom she was employed to take care of, she also introduced him to porn on social media.
The magistrate convicted her on two counts of sexually abusing the boy and introducing him to porn.
The court heard that she abused the boy between July 2020 and February 2021 during the Covid-19 school’s historical vacation when the government imposed restrictions on movement.
“The effect of the action by the adult woman has psychologically affected the minor, who now cannot live without satisfying his thirst for companion with the opposite sex,” ruled the presiding Magistrate.
Magistrate Kimilu in her Judgement said that she had considered that the woman is a single mother and for the interest of her children, the court had to exercise its discretion in giving a lenient sentence.
According to the prosecution, the abuse began by showing the 13-year-old minor explicit videos of adults engaging in sexual activities. Which compelled the house help to offer herself to the boy afterward.
