Two people, including a three-year-old child, have been killed and roughly 28 others injured in a Russian missile strike on Kharkiv, Ukrainian authorities confirmed.
A multi-story apartment building was nearly destroyed in the Friday afternoon attack, which President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced as “heinous.”

Russia’s Defense Ministry denied attacking the residential area, instead claiming on Telegram that the blast resulted from detonated Ukrainian ammunition.
The strike occurred on the eve of critical talks due to take place in Kyiv on Saturday.
