Moja Expressway Company has dismissed as fake a viral poster claiming that the Nairobi Expressway would be closed to facilitate the return of Democracy for Citizen Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua.
The poster, which circulated widely on social media, alleged that access to the Central Business District (CBD) from the expressway would be shut down for a political procession. Moja Expressway clarified that no such directive had been issued and that the highway remains fully open to motorists.
In a statement, the company cautioned the public against spreading false information and urged Kenyans to rely only on official communication channels for updates on road usage and traffic advisories.
The clarification comes ahead of Gachagua’s expected arrival from the United States, which security agencies have said will be closely monitored to ensure peace and order in Nairobi.
