Mombasa DCI Arrest Three Gang Members

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), officers who were acting on intelligence staged an ambush in Nyali estate on Links Road which led to the arrest of the two suspects.

Detectives in Mombasa County have detained three suspects in a series of robberies in the city and surrounding areas.

“Ali Ahmad Ali, known by the alias “Mkali,” and Abdulrahman Arafat,” said DCI.

Following further interrogation, the two led officers to their rented property, where the third suspect, Mohamed Zulf, was discovered.

A search conducted in the hideout led to the discovery of four pangas, two Y-6 twisted metal bars sharpened at the edges, eighteen small bales of bhang, ten assorted suspected stolen mobile phones, six spotlights, four suspected stolen livestock (sheep), one 32-inch TV, and one gas cylinder.


The three are being apprehended at the Mombasa Central Police Station for processing awaiting arraignment.
