More than 125, 449 students who scored the minimum degree entry grade of C+ and above will be placed in different universities across the country.
The Kenyan Universities have the capacity to hold up to 193,000 as declared by them.
Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Services (KUCCPS) in a statement on Monday advised students to do an online application and for those who had applied before have a chance to revise their courses if they so wish.
“Pursuant to its mandate as provided for in the Universities Act, 2012, Section 56 (1) (a), the placement board, during a meeting held today February 17, 2020, has considered the placement of the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination candidates to universities and colleges,” KUCCPS said in the statement.
KUCCPS further indicated that 688,928 students who scored grade C and below will have a chance to be placed in different colleges and TVETS across the country and sponsored by the government.
This is in line with the government’s policy to achieve 100% transition.
