Controversial Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria will appear before Milimani courts, over an incident where Kuria physically assaulted a lady early last year at the Royal Media premises. – By Meshack Makau.
The woman, identified as Joyce Wanja, via a video that went viral on social media, said that she had been invited at the media house alongside Kuria to discuss the BBI report on Inooro TV’s ‘Kiririmbi’ political show when the incident happened.
According to Wanja, the MP assaulted her after she asked him to retract a demeaning statement, he made against women in the presence of children at a function to help orphans in Kiambu.
The vocal legislator was said to have reached a point of agreement with the complaint.

Mid last month, Kuria appeared again before the magistrate and given a mention date of February 4, 2021 to confirm that the complainant was going to withdraw the case.
However, the case has today taken a different turn after Ms. Wanja told the court that she is not ready to withdraw the case.
Kuria will on April 8 and 9 2021, appear before Mutuku for the hearing. The prosecution will line up 5 witnesses to testify against the law maker.
