A mother is calling for justice after her a video of her 10-year-old daughter engaging in sexual acts with students went viral.
The alleged incident was filmed while students from a prestigious school were on a trip to Dubai last month.
The 10-year-old’s mother claims her daughter was forced to participate in the ‘truth or dare’ game that turned raunchy.
The Lagos state government has ordered the school’s closure in order to investigate an “alleged sexual violence case.”
The mother claims her daughter was drugged by the male students in a video posted on social media, and she accuses the school authorities of a cover-up.
Chrisland Schools, which operates a number of private primary and secondary schools in Lagos, has denied any wrongdoing, saying it takes its responsibility seriously and will cooperate with any investigation.
According to the school, five of the 76 students who attended the World School Games between March 8 and 14 participated in a game of “Truth or Dare.”
Nigerians have been warned that sharing images of child pornography is a crime punishable by a 14-year prison sentence, following a video of school children engaging in sexual acts.
It stated that the “misconduct” had been reported to their parents and that the students had been reprimanded in accordance with the school’s rules.
However, the 10-year-mother old’s claims she was not informed of the severity of the incident at first, and only learned of it later when another parent alerted her to the footage, which has since gone viral on social media.
