Moya David Dismisses Claims of ‘Vanishing with Gifts,’ Says Weight Gain Is a Sign of Success

Dancer and content creator Moya David has responded to online rumours accusing him of pocketing gifts meant for clients, insisting that his weight gain has nothing to do with dishonesty but rather a reflection of his success.

Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Vickie Vickinah on Monday, October 13, 2025, Moya rubbished claims that he disappears with money and flowers meant for surprise recipients, terming the allegations as “idle social media gossip.”

“Those stories of me running off with clients’ gifts are just online talk. Every gift I deliver, money or flowers, always reaches the intended person,” he said.

The popular dancer clarified that he has not gone silent or left the spotlight but has shifted focus to exclusive, high-end private surprises. Many of his new clients, he noted, prefer their gestures to remain off-camera.

“I am still very active. Most of my clients just don’t want their surprises filmed. These are private, high-end jobs, not the kind that go viral online,” Moya explained.

He added that his business is thriving despite his reduced online presence, and his physical transformation simply reflects stability and good living, not scandal.

“I’m earning good money; that’s one reason I’ve gained weight. Doing surprises is real work that pays well,” he said.

Addressing rumours of being bankrolled by sugar mammies, Moya dismissed them as baseless, emphasizing that his success stems from hard work and consistency.

He also tackled body-shaming remarks, saying he’s comfortable in his skin and views his weight gain as a natural part of growth.

“Some say I don’t dance like before, but I like this version of me. Growth comes with change, and I embrace it.”
