Kapseret MP Oscar Kipchumba Sudi has gifted a motorbike to a young UDA aspirant from Trans Nzoia after he cycled more than 400 kilometres to attend an aspirants’ meeting at State House.
Nehemiah Rotich, 24, from Cherangany, made the five-day journey on a Mamba bicycle after failing to raise bus fare.
Along the way, he survived on simple meals of ugali and vegetables, driven by his desire to take part in the meeting and pursue his dream of leadership.

Sudi said he was touched by Rotich’s determination and decided to step in.
“I’ve decided to gift a motorbike to Nehemiah Rotich, a 24-year-old UDA aspirant from Cherangany, after seeing his determination to attend the aspirants’ meeting at State House despite cycling over 405km on his Mamba bicycle with minimal resources,” he said.

Rotich is a student at Cambridge Universal College in Eldoret and is preparing to vie for the MCA seat in Koitugum Ward, Chebororwa Division.

The young aspirant said the bike will improve his mobility and help him reach more people as he works toward supporting vulnerable families in his village.
