Mudavadi: Sour Grapes Won’t Bring Back OKA

The Amani National Congress (ANC) has scorned at the One Kenya Alliance, which it abandoned on January 23, accusing them of harbouring Azimio la Umoja Movement.

In a post published on Sunday, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi’s Director of Communications, Kibisu Kabatesi, declared, “ANC rejected OKA being created a holding site for Azimio.”

Mudavadi’s comments came as part of a persistent attack on erstwhile allies he accused of warming up to ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Azimio Movement, which he has labeled as a State project.

“ANC was not invited to join OKA and left without authorization. Sour grapes won’t bring OKA back,” he said.

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who stormed out of Mudavadi’s ANC National Delegates Convention on January 23, accused Mudavadi of abandoning his comrades.

NARC Kenya, a group led by former Constitutional Affairs Minister Martha Karua, has since joined Wiper and KANU in its campaign trail.

OKA, like Azimio, will register a coalition party on which allied parties would run joint candidates in the August 9 election, according to the Wiper leader.
