Mugithi Artiste Who Predicted Uhuru’s Northlands Farm Invasion

Controversial Muigai Wa Njoroge’s song about the risks of land disputes, written by Kikuyu musician Muigai Wa Njoroge, appears to have come true in recent events.

Muigai sung about bleeding human blood in vain in his song “Ino Migunda” (This land), released two years ago, and warned that land is frequently the source of strife.

He also predicted that people would no longer tolerate oppression from leaders, and that everyone would be equal.

On March 27, 2023, anti-government rallies turned violent as unknown assailants targeted Kenyatta and Odinga family businesses.

The attacks occurred on former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s family property along the Eastern Bypass, as well as on Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s gas facility in the Industrial Area.

Thugs pillaged property in front of cameras and stole an unknown quantity of livestock.

The recent attacks appear to have mimicked Muigai’s song on equal land distribution among Kenyans.

“Land cannot be chopped into bits for human nourishment,” he sang. That moment when the common Mwananchi will no longer tolerate your oppression. Some people will be surprised.”

He also mentioned a day when leaders who demolished impoverished people’s homes during the Covid-19 outbreak would be held accountable.

Muigai’s song serves as a sharp reminder of Kenya’s continuous land disputes, which frequently result in violence and bloodshed.

It is still unknown who was responsible for the attacks on Kenyatta and Odinga’s properties. Nonetheless, the episodes have raised concerns about the country’s escalating violence and turmoil.

Muigai’s song appears to have struck a chord with Kenyans, with its warnings of imminent turmoil and appeals for equality.

The attacks on the two political families’ residences have revived the country’s concerns of bloodshed and anarchy.
