Principal Secretary Gender and Affirmative Action, Victoria Nduva, today chaired the Multi-sectoral Working Group on the #TwothirdsGenderPrinciple that will spearhead the process of developing an enabling Framework to ensure the implementation of the ‘Not more than two thirds gender principle’.
The Working Group’s objective is to create a Legislative Proposal of the Principle for the 13th Parliament’s consideration and adoption.
An update, Gazette Notice No. 11090, has been published that modifies the Working Group’s membership to comply with the Two-thirds Gender Principle.
Nduva praised the Working Group for making excellent strides towards fulfilling its mission and urged continuous support for the fight to protect the Constitution, advance gender equality, and empower women.
