On Monday evening, a multiagency team from Maragua led by DCC Gitonga Murungi nabbed counterfeit beer worth half a million at Zabka Kabati Maragua constituency in Murang’a.
The beer was in brands of Taifa Ice and Trace Ice packed in bottles ready for sale.
According to Murungi, the fight against drugs and illicit alcohol will continue in accordance with the deputy president’s directive.
The merchandise’s owner is on the run and being sought by the police.
