AFC Leopards have appointed Alex Muteshi as the new club patron, secretary general Gilbert Andugu has announced.
Muteshi takes over from the Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja and will serve in the role for the next three years.
According to Andugu, Muteshi was picked due to his enormous support for the team including during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.
He will make sure the team is stable and advise where necessary as well as bringing more sponsors to the 12-time league champions.
Muteshi was the main sponsor for the just ended Elijah Lidonde tournament which was won by Leopards after defeating Nzoia Sugar on penalty shoot-out at Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega.
