The Body of the former President Mwai Kibaki has arrived at the Parliament Buildings in preparations for public viewing.

According to the Funeral Planning Committee, Kibaki’s body will lie in State for three days.
His body was driven to the parliament in a Military Gun carriage mounted by the Kenya Defense Forces.
The former President’s family, led by his eldest son Jimmy Kibaki, has also arrived at the parliament building.
The military gun carriage and State Funeral Procession will make their way from State House to Nyayo Stadium, the venue of the National State Funeral, on Friday, after lying-in-state for three days.
The Catholic Church will lead the interdenominational National State Funeral Memorial Service.
The National State Funeral Steering Committee has declared Friday, April 29, 2022, as a public holiday of general observance throughout the Republic of Kenya, allowing every Kenyan to take part in the commemoration of the Third President’s life.
