A female teacher was arraigned in court on Tuesday, July 12, where she faced charges of conspiring to defraud.
Elvira Karen Mbati is accused of defrauding Mwalimu National Sacco Ksh 34 million which came to her possession by virtue of employment.
The said suspect is believed to have committed the offense on March 5, 2022.
Appearing before Magistrate Bernard Ochoi of Milimani Law Courts, the accused person denied particulars of the charges and was released on a Bond of Ksh 10 million with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 5 million.
