A man identified as Musee Ngui has been arrested in connection with the death of his father, Ngui Ngunza, whose body was discovered in a secret grave more than two years after he went missing.
The arrest, carried out by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), comes after an investigation into the elder Ngunza’s disappearance.
Musee is accused of murdering his father and burying him on family land in Nguuni village. Relatives were misled into believing the senior Ngunza had traveled, which masked the circumstances of his disappearance.
The breakthrough in the case followed Musee’s arrest two weeks ago in Matuu, Machakos County, where he had allegedly been hiding. During questioning, he confessed to the killing and led officers to the shallow grave behind their home.
Further allegations have also surfaced: Musee is being accused of defiling and impregnating his two daughters.
These claims are now part of the ongoing investigation alongside the homicide charge.
Local residents expressed relief that the mystery surrounding the elder Ngunza’s fate has finally been resolved. Musee is currently in police custody, and authorities plan to charge him with murder and related offenses.
