Jane Mugo, a private investigator disrupted a court proceeding after claiming her kidnappers were in the same court room.
She proceeded to falsely accuse members of the press saying they are colluding with her assailants.
The Court had a tough time as the detective thwarted request from her lawyer to be calm and give the Court peaceful environment to proceed with the case.
She deliberately and without permission chose to address the Court shouting on top of her voice claiming she want the Court to record her thought.
Further, she accused the prosecutor as having erred in fact by initiating the amendment of the charge sheet.
She claims that there is a lacuna in the way her case is being handled as the same police officers she was investigating happens to be the investigation officers against her case.
Efforts by the Court to have her compose herself was futile hence forcing the Court to adjourn to pave way for her Counsel to console her.
The Court upon resuming, directed Jane to present a police report in order to provide evidence support.
Ms. Mugo later on took photos of the scribes present in Court without any clear reason for the same.
Jane Mugo is charged with making use of firearm with intent to commit a felony contrary to section 34 of the firearms Act 2002.
The prosecution submitted that on 4th February 2019 at Kyuna close, Spring Valley, Jane used Ceska Pistol serial C095957 and threated to shoot Deepa Shah.
In 2019, Mugo was also charged with drawing pistol and threatening to kill Patrick mugusia Kefa on 15th August 2019 at New Muthaiga in Nairobi.
She pleaded not guilty and was released on a bond of Ksh 300,000.
The amended charges were read to her and she pleaded not guilty to all the counts.
Her lawyer pleaded with the Court to uphold the former bail terms a prayer which was granted by the Court.
Her case was slated for hearing on 8th March 2022.
