My Lung Has Collapsed – Reggae Hypeman MC Fullstop Discloses Medical Condition, Intent To Retire

Renowned Reggae MC John Maina aka MC Fullstop has revealed that his left lung has totally collapsed and he is now operating with one. 

In an update shared via his official Twitter account, Fullstop was diagnosed with Tuberculosis (TB) in 2021 and again in 2022 which presented throat issues making it hard for him to talk.

He further explained that doing activities like walking or running had become a problem for him and he was considering his options.

““Hii imeenda” literally. My left lung has totally collapsed nimebaki na moja. In 2021 i was diagnosed with TB ya lungs ikasosi lungs kabisa. 2022 nikapata TB ya throat nayo ikanimaliza sauti,  Running, walking, kuongea ni shida…” he tweeted.

As if resigning to fate, Fullstop also added that he had no choice but to ‘hang his boots’ and also thanked his fans for the support throughout the difficult moments.

“Alafu lungs zina lungs ufala unlike Liver, haiwezi ji heal itabidi nijipange hapa naona niki hang boots. I just wanna say thanks kwa wale wamekuwa wakini support in this difficult moments God awa bless tu sana,” he added.

Reacting to the news several celebrities shared messages of support including Michael Bundi who said, “My son & I have experienced your kindness, love & support. You have inspired us so much & inspired many more people. I will stand in the gap in prayer for you sir. Don’t give up. I have seen & experienced miracles where God did what humans deemed impossible. I pray that he does the same for you. Only God can do, what no man can do.”

Dj Mo also shared a message of support saying, “You are a legend and one of the baddest in 254 and for sure bro God heals .keep praying and trusting Him in this whole process.”

Also reacting to the news Dj Moz said, “May God give you strength and bring healing in your body like on He can…”

Radio presenter and artist Talia Oyando sent positive energy and blessings, “Sending you positive energy and love bro. Keep fighting you got this.”

Fullstop shared his gratitude for all those who had supported him in his time of need.
