A man accused by his wife of defiling and impregnating a minor aged 11 years today informed court that he was framed by his wife.
George Eric Otieno, a former Chef at Safari Park Hotel who has been in police custody after he was in 2019 charged with defiling a 11-year old child came to court today accompanied by two of his witnesses including a brother and an Uncle to the defiled minor to defend himself.
Otieno, in defense requested the Court to took into account of his job which he claims he lost after he was charged with the heinous offence.
“I Otieno request the Kenyan court to look into my account for my job of 26 and half years which got lost because of this case and dismiss this case, as am the sole bread winner of my family and my in-laws and my other two children. This case has caused the death of my elder son… I’d like to give this court a copy of my termination letter” pleaded the accused person.
The minor told court that the accused defiled her on February 17, 2018.
However, the accused has far maintained that on the material day he was at Work.
However, his defense of not being guilty to the offence has so far been technically knocked out by a witness from the Government chemist who said that fugal swaps from the accused person showed that there was 99.99+% match between the child born by the minor and the accused, proving that the accused was the father of the born child after the defilement.
According to the Prosecution, the DNA successfully pinned the accused person to the offence confirming that he defiled and impregnated the minor.
The said minor is alleged to have been an orphan from Siaya who was staying with her elder sister at Njathaini area in Kasarani at the material time.
The accused who is the husband to the sister of the minor is believed to have taken advantage of the vulnerable situation of the minor hence impregnating her.
She later on delivered with the DNA sample from the infant matching that of the accused at 99.99+% as per the Doctors report.
The case will proceed on September 27, for further hearing.
