A Nairobi businessman Chrisantus Philip Okeyo Obure was today arraigned before Milimani Law Courts facing several charges of forgery.
Chris Obure in count one is accused that on diverse dates between June 12, 2017, and October 9, 2023, conspired to commit an offence of forgery contrary to the Law.
According to the charge sheet, he forged a Binding Board Resolution purporting it to have been stamped and signed by Chandul Shah, a director of AC & others limited.
He is also accused of giving false information to a police officer working with serious crimes unit.
The prosecution alleges that Obure on February 9, 2024 at DCI Headquarters mislead a police officer by telling the officer that he had an agreement for sale of a building known as Senteu Plaza making the officer to act on the false information against the interest of Justice.
He appeared before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi at Milimani Law Courts where he denied the charges.
The Court released him on Ksh 500,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 200,000.
The case will proceed on February 11, 2025.
