Despite a heated debate on clauses and its effects on Nairobians, the County Assembly unanimously passed the Constitution Amendment Bill, christened BBI.
In a session attended by 114 representatives, all votes were cast in favour of the document, with no rejection.
The same was witnessed in Kisii, Laikipia and Vihiga counties where the document was passed.
The BBI secretariat now have 11 votes out of the 24 required counties. Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Busia, Vihiga, Nairobi, Kajiado, Trans Nzoia, Kisii, Laikipia and West Pokot.
So far, only one county, Baringo voted to reject the BBI.
