Man Attempts Suicide After Stabbing An Egyptian

The Egyptian had gone to collect his debt from his neighbor, who became violent and stabbed him eight times after a fight ensued.


A man accused of stabbing an Egyptian national attempted suicide by slitting his throat.
The Egyptian had gone to collect his debt from his neighbor, who became violent and stabbed him eight times after a fight ensued.
Police were called after a neighbor heard the commotion at the Orange apartment in Jamhuri estate.
According to police, the victim and his two roommates went to the suspect’s house and demanded payment for a debt owed to one of them.
Further, police reported that “the suspect became enraged and went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and stabbed the victim eight times while his roommate was stabbed on the thigh before turning the knife on himself.”
The two roommates were rushed to Coptic Hospital, where one died during treatment. His roommate was admitted and is doing well.
The suspect was taken to Nairobi Women’s Hospital, in critical condition.
