Nairobi Leads In Teen Pregnancy — New Report

According to the National Aids Control Council’s newest report released Monday, Nairobi County has the highest number of adolescent pregnancies reported this year (NACC).

According to the data, 2,379 females aged 10 to 14 years old were pregnant in the last ten months.

Homabay (1,530), Kajiado (1,496), Mandera (1,370), and Bomet (1,370) round out the top five counties (1,041).

Trans Nzoia, Vihiga, Tharaka Nithi, Nandi, Lamu, Kwale, Kericho, Narok, and Muranga counties also experienced declines within the same time period.

Half of the counties in the Eastern Region reported an increase in adolescent pregnancy, with Embu leading the way, followed by Kitui, Machakos, and Marsabit.
