Nairobi School Donates Land For Ruto’s Tree Planting Drive

The Nairobi School has dedicated 10 acres of land to President William Ruto’s climate change effort across the country.

During a state visit to the school, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu claimed that the decision was made following a meeting with the institution’s executives, who pledged their support to the president.

According to Machogu, the area will be used for a tree-planting program that will deliver seedlings to Nairobi and other regions of the country.

He stated that the ministry will donate one million tree saplings to the institution beginning the following week, which would later cushion the nation from the effects of climate change.

“Starting next week, we will provide one million seedlings to the school and I will report back to you, your excellency on of that matter. It is now part of our performance contract,” Machogu stated.

President William Ruto commissioned a new hostel for the institution; Longonot House, alongside a treated Drinking water station.

Ruto also broke ground for the construction of an ultra-modern Science complex within the school.
