Nairobi United Host AS Maniema Union in CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage Clash

Nairobi United will host DR Congo’s AS Maniema Union on 30 November 2025 at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, in a crucial CAF Confederation Cup Group B match. The encounter is pivotal for the Kenyan side as they aim to bounce back from a heavy opening loss in their debut group-stage campaign.

The Kenyan club, making its continental group-stage debut, qualified after a dramatic penalty shootout win against Tunisia’s Étoile du Sahel, marking a historic milestone for the team.

Nairobi United was placed in Group B alongside Morocco’s Wydad AC, AS Maniema Union, and Tanzania’s Azam FC. Their opening match resulted in a 3–0 defeat to Wydad AC, intensifying the need for a positive home result.

Ahead of the match, Nairobi United have called on fans to provide a strong home advantage. The club has also pledged to donate 10% of all ticket sales from the game to support former Police FC winger Reagan Otieno, who is undergoing medical treatment a move widely praised by supporters and football enthusiasts.

AS Maniema Union arrive in Nairobi confident, having started their campaign with positive results, and have set their sights on reaching the quarter-finals of the competition. Analysts highlight that the clash will test Nairobi United’s resilience and tactical maturity against a seasoned Congolese side.
