Naivas Supermarket chain now opens its doors in Kilifi town

Kilifi town now has a supermarket, thanks to Naivas that is opening its branch at the same locality that housed Tuskys supermarket, which has since vacated the premises.

The supermarket is perched on a building just past Kilifi bridge from Mombasa along the busy Malindi-Mombasa highway.

The town has never had a supermarket after the exit of Tuskys last year.

In a statement, Naivas announced that it was opening its 7th branch at the Coast today with the new store being the 70th in the entire country.

“Kenya’s number one retail chain, Naivas supermarket will be opening doors of its newest outlet in Kilifi town on 29th January 2020. The new store will be the retailer’s 70th branch all of which are in Kenya,” the statement reads in part.

“The outlet, a food market, is located in Kilifi town next to DTB Bank along Bofa Road and it covers 25,000 square feet of trading space. The opening of this new store comes during a very tough time economically. During this time, Naivas intends on living up to its brand promise; saves you money, by ensuring shoppers enjoy exclusive sales offers,” the statement added.

Naivas said it was ready to offer residents of Kilifi a good food shopping experience.

The food chain said that the new development was motivated by a long-standing request by shoppers for the retailer to set up a shop in the region after the exit of one of the big players in the industry.
