Nakuru Man Arrested for Trying to Secure Daughter an Abortion

The man is said to have been tricked by villagers into traveling back home to conduct the procedure before being led to a backstreet in Njoro town.

A 39-year-old father of four is being held at the Njoro police station in Nakuru County after being caught trying to get his daughter, 18, an abortion.

The pregnancy is allegedly the man’s fault.

Amani sub-location assistant chief Milka Lang’at reported that the guy had gone to pick up his daughter from school in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, with the intention of getting her an abortion.

According to reports, the girl is three months pregnant.

The man is said to have been tricked by villagers into traveling back home to conduct the procedure before being led to a backstreet in Njoro town.

Langat said that the girl confessed to having been forced to have the illicit affair with her father for four years and said when she attempted to have her mother intervene, she was warned of dire consequences.

She said that the man will be charged with incest and defilement among other charges once the police conclude their investigations.

“Today, we went to visit their home and talk to the wife about what has been happening so that she can explain why she has been silent and whether the other daughters have been undergoing the same,” she said.
