Nakuru: Sudanese Man Dies In Mob Attack

One South Sudanese national died and four others are fighting for their life at Nakuru Level Five Hospital after an angry crowd accused them of sexually assault. 

Ajang Chol Ajang, Akuien Chol Ajang, Garang Chol Ajang, Guor Anya Guor, and Bul Garang Bul, all in their twenties, received major burn injuries after the mob set fire to their leased house in Mawanga estate. 

One of the five, Garang Chol Ajang, died while undergoing treatment at Nakuru Specialist Hospital, according to Kut Maketh Duk, the chairman of the South Sudanese community in Nakuru County.

“It’s a sad day for us because one of the young men, Garang Chol Ajang, died from burn injuries acquired in the incident. 

Mr Duk told the Nation that Ajang Chol Ajang, who is admitted to the Nakuru Nursing Home hospital, is in a severe condition. 

According to The Nation, several of the victims had more than 30 percent of their bodies burned. 

Despite the high-degree burns on their bodies, three of the victims were in stable condition, according to a nurse at Nakuru Level Five Hospital.
