Nanok Appointed State House Comptroller

President William Ruto on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, appointed former Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok as State House Comptroller.

Nanok broke out with Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party leader Raila Odinga and backed William Ruto’s bid in the run-up to the August 9 General Election.

Nanok is set to replace former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua who served under Kenyatta. Nanok is now the chief accounting officer and secretary to the president.

He will be tasked with making sure that all activities related to transportation, security, communication, catering, and general administration are appropriately funded and carried out.

The president’s physician and State House Comptrollers collaborate to make sure that planned health checkups are performed.

He will monitor economic trends, gauge the impacts of previous governments and weigh other pertinent issues, and then write a report to the president.
