A well-known sexual worker in Narok town is seeking justice after she was assaulted in the middle of the night.

Elizabeth Njeri, is a confessed sexual worker and barmaid at Manjus bar in Narok town.

She claimed to have been beaten up by two men who claimed she had stolen their money.

Her efforts to seek justice were futile because the police allegedly turned her away.

“It is not in our nature to perform such heinous tasks. We’re doing this to raise money to help our children live a decent life,” she explained.

Edith Mwihaki, her mother, said her daughter called her in the early morning hours, claiming she had been assaulted by a group of men, and when she arrived, she found her daughter unconscious outside the bar.

She took her to Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment and later went to the police station to seek justice, but they were allegedly turned away.

According to Narok North and Central Sub County Police Commander Frederick Shiundu, the assaulted woman and her mother were turned away from the police station because they were too drunk to make a statement.
