A new Trends and Insights For Africa (TIFA) poll shows former Rift Valley County Commissioner George Natembeya leading the Trans Nzoia Governor’s race with 56% support.
According to the poll released on Thursday, Ford Kenya’s Chris Wamalwa comes in second place with 21%, followed by Wilfred Muraya with 3%.
The Governor’s position has 19% of undecided voters.
In terms of political coalition support, TIFA discovered that Azimio la Umoja has the most (44%), followed by Kenya Kwanza (34%), while 22% of the respondents said they didn’t know.
Surprisingly, the poll shows a statistical tie in support levels for UDA and ODM, at 24% and 23%, respectively.
The Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) is ranked third with 9%, followed by the ruling Jubilee party with 3% and the Amani National Coalition (ANC) with 1%.
According to the survey, Raila Odinga is the most popular presidential candidate with 52%, followed by William Ruto with 34%.
Roots party candidate George Wajackoyah is trailing with 1%.
Undecided voters make up 13% of the total.
According to polls, Lilian Siyoi is the most popular women’s representative candidate, with 22%, followed by Susan Nakhumicha with 11%.
Phanice Katundi is third with 8%, followed by Janet Wanyama with 8%, Eunice Karanja with 4%, and Susan Nelima with 3%.
Other candidates received 5% of the vote.
The number of undecided voters is 40%.
In the senatorial race, Henry Ndiema is tied with Allan Chesang with 24%.
Joshua Werunga came in third with 7%, Richard Chesebe came in fourth with 4%, and Omari Wafula follows with 2%.
Cheptoo Morei and Michael Ndito ties with 1% each.
Undecided voters account for 37% of the total.
The polls were conducted on June 28 and 29.
It was conducted with a sample size of 416 registered correspondents with a +/- 4.8 percent margin of error.
