ODM party leader Raila Odinga is expected to appear before the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) after his trip to the United Kingdom over his ‘madoadoa’ remarks.

NCIC boss Samuel Kobia on Friday said that once Raila is back they will be in touch and talk things out.

Kobia said Raila is a law-abiding leader saying that in spite of his position, he apologized publicly.

“NCIC has declared an out all war against hate speech. We are monitoring TV and online. We need to ensure that evidence gathering is done quickly and swiftly,” Kobia said.

Raila defended his ‘madoadoa’ statement made during a rally in Wajir while speaking to a gathering in Kisumu, saying he was misunderstood.

NCIC wants Raila to explain in which context he used the term madoadoa during the Azimio la Umoja rally in Wajir.
