Neto stars as Chelsea beat Forest 3-0 to heap more misery on Postecoglou

(Reuters) – Chelsea inflicted more pain on Nottingham Forest after Pedro Neto grabbed a goal and assist within three minutes in a 3-0 Premier League win at The City Ground on Saturday, piling more pressure on winless Forest boss Ange Postecoglou.

The Australian, who is now without a victory in eight games in all competitions, rolled the dice by changing half his side from the last defeat and Forest did start the brighter of the two teams but could not find the net in a goalless first half.

Chelsea found the breakthrough early in the second when Neto’s cross was headed home by 19-year-old defender Josh Acheampong before the Portuguese winger doubled their lead himself three minutes later from a free kick.

Reece James made it 3-0 from a set-piece and, while the visitors lost Malo Gusto to a late red card, the win lifted Chelsea to fourth.

Forest are 17th, with the ominous prospect of sinking deeper into the relegation mire this weekend.
