Nigeria Removes Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination

According to Nigerian officials, regardless of vaccination status, all travellers would no longer be needed to present documentation of a negative Covid-19 test upon arrival or departure.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) stated in its recent guidelines that the decision comes after the government stated that the virus “has remained continuously uncommon in Nigeria and much of the rest of the world.”

“Pre-departure and post-arrival Covid-19 PCR testing for all travellers, regardless of vaccination status,” it added.

The agency also stated that health declaration documents and travel authorization would no longer be necessary.
