Three High School Students Sentenced To Hard Labor Over Marijuana Possession

The students, aged 16 and 17, were apprehended after a tip indicated that they had brought the drug to school and intended to distribute it to other students.

Following a conviction for marijuana possession in school by magistrate Wangari Kamau, two form three students from Njenga Karume Secondary School in Molo sub-county will complete a six-month probationary period of hard labor at Molo police station.

The students, aged 16 and 17, were apprehended after a tip indicated that they had brought the drug to school and intended to distribute it to other students.

The 16-year-old suspected of running a trafficking ring was apprehended with four rolls, while his accomplice was apprehended with a half-smoked joint.

Intelligence reports that kids in the area have been enlisted into a drug trafficking ring run by a notorious suspect who has since fled the scene have put detectives on high alert.’
