NMS opens Terminus dispensary ahead of new bus park

The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has opened up the famed Green Park bus terminus dispensary, the first of its kind in a Nairobi bus station — By Gerald Gekara.

The fully stocked facility will serve Nairobians who will be able to access the new bus terminus, as part of a wider health program to boost Kenya’s public health sector.

While visiting the hospital, NMS Director General Mohammed Badi announced they had already attended to six patients just this morning, and hope more patients will stream in as the day goes by.

The bus park that is nearing its completion, will serve public transport vehicles commuting from Langata Road, Ngong Road and Mombasa Road, terminating activities of the CBD based Railways bus terminus.

The bus park which is built under the mandate of the master decongestion plan, will see reduced matatu traffic within the CBD, effectively reducing traffic jams in Nairobi.

Other amenities such as retail stalls will be constructed to boost business individuals who wish to conduct their activities at the park.
