NMS to issue title deeds in Eastlands, Kahawa West

Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has called on Nairobi City County public to take part in issuance certificates of title/leases to owners of untitled County allocated land.

The exercise, advertised by the NMS, is said to give landowners the capacity to enjoy the security of tenure and realize the full economic potential of their properties.

Allottees will be required to submit copies of allotment documents to their respective stations for the exercise which runs from September 23rd to October 10th.

Some of the areas include Mathare, Huruma, Kayole, Ngei, Umoja, Soweto, Dandora, Embakasi, Kariobangi, and Kahawa West among others.

On Friday last week, Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney has announced a new phase of the Nairobi Titling Programme that will see 18,635 title deeds issued beginning next month.

She made the announcement during a joint press briefing with Nairobi Metropolitan Services Director General Mohamed Badi in which she also announced the waiver of land rates and rent for landowners of Site and Service Schemes, Tenant Purchase Schemes, county allotted properties, and land-buying companies.
