The Nairobi Metropolitan Services has unveiled motorized road sweepers in a bid to enhance the Unit’s responsibility in maintaining cleanliness. – By Gerald Gekara.
The project will see Nairobi County schedule daily clean up routine that is not only faster but more efficient in maintaining the city’s cleanliness standards.
The trucks will be taking advantage of the dusk to dawn curfew, to clean up city streets, alongside County officers who have been cleaning the streets.
As part of an ongoing effort to improve the standards of the city, the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has engaged in various projects including the postponed ban on Matatus within the Central Business District, to upgrade of services such as revamped bus stops and improvement of health facilities.
